Shopping!

 I have always been quite the shopper! Recently, I've been sitting up in the cart, which opens up a whole new world of amusement!  I used to enjoy looking at the ceiling and lights of stores as I looked up from my car-seat.  Who knew there were such interesting things hiding on each side of me!? I like looking around at all of the colorful items. And, if I'm good, Mommy will help me pick out a toy!

(The good news? I'm always good!) :-)

Me & Delilah

In many ways, I'm a lot like our dog, Delilah.  We both drool. We both have chew toys. We both make noise to get my parents' attention. And, most recently, we both sit on command. 

 If only I could teach Delilah how to roll over. I'll work on it!

Splish Splash!

Baths are one of my favorite things! I love when the warm water gets poured on me and, now that I am getting bigger and stronger, I love playing with toys and splashing in the water!  I get to play in my blow-up ducky bath tub that quacks when its beak is squeezed. Sometimes, I take my paci in the bath with me so I can't put the soapy toys in my mouth. Baths are so much fun!!

Still Sitting Up!

Lately, I have been able to sit up and play all by myself! I used to need my hands to keep myself up, but now I am strong enough to use my hands to play with toys.  My toys seem so much more interesting now that I can grab them and choose them on my own!

Tickle-me-Logan!

I have a few places on my body that act as instant-laugh-buttons.  I couldn't help but share this video of Mommy tickling me.  My laughter is briefly paused when I get distracted by the cord hanging down from the camera; I soon realize that it does not taste as good as it looks!

7 Months Old!

I turned 7 months old yesterday!

Show 'Em!

I have been pretty tight-lipped about showing my teeth.

But, I cooperated when my Mommy tried to take a picture of them to show them off.  

They're little, they're white and they're biting everything that I can get my hands on!

I had a wonderful first Valentine's Day!  

My Daddy and I agreed that we would share Mommy as our Valentine.

We had a "romantic" family dinner as I ate baby food and watched them eat grown-up food. 

We got to play and laugh before I went to bed for the night.

High Chair

 My parents wanted to try out the new Mexican restaurant that opened in town; we decided that the restaurant shouldn't be the only thing that was new!  Since I can sit up unassisted now, I got to sit in the restaurant's high chair! This was a first for me. I used my my seat cover and attached my toys to it.

I spent a lot of time playing with my toys...

And, as usual, I was extra curious and looked around the restaurant at all of the people!

Sitting Up

I've been working really hard lately on trying to sit up on my own.  Sometimes I topple over or lean back onto the ground.  I think I finally have it down! I need to lean forward on my hands, but my balance has really improved. It takes a lot of concentration, so if I get too amused or excited, I usually fall down. I'm really starting to enjoy this new view of the world!

teething torture!

I officially have two teeth! They are both on the bottom, and they hurt really bad. Getting teeth is exciting, but the pain that comes along with them is not! It's been a rough couple of days with the soreness in my gums. I have been chewing on my finger, teethers and practically anything that I can fit in my mouth.  Medicine helps a little, but I am realizing that growing up is hard work!

Happy Birthday, Grandma Lynn!

It was Grandma Lynn's birthday on Friday! We all went to her house to celebrate.  I took a nap on the way to her house and was surprised to see everyone's smiling faces when I woke up.  Everyone took turns holding me and playing with me.  

I watched as everyone sang "Happy Birthday" and Grandma blew out the candles.   

The grown ups got to eat cake, but I was stuck with my bottle. 

I love my Grandma and I'm glad that I helped make her birthday extra special!

My First Super Bowl!

Yesterday was my first "Super Bowl Sunday"! We watched football coverage all day.

 I was even in the mood for football when I was still in my pajamas:

When it was time for the game, I changed my clothes.  When our friends came over to watch the game with us, I had to wear my Josh Cribbs jersey to represent my favorite team.  I watched the first half in my bouncer and was asleep by half-time.  

I wore the shirt that Mommy made me; my pick ended up winning the game!

It was a fun day!

Giggle Machine!

Lately, a typical day at home includes a lot of giggling! When I am not sleeping, I am usually laughing. So many things make me giggle! I show my big, open-mouthed smile and laugh away at the sight of a smiling face or a funny sound.  I get excited, kick my legs and start giggling. It is fun to be able to interact with my family instead of being a constant observer.  My giggle is contagious; anyone who sees me laugh shows an instant smile!

My First Tooth!!

My first tooth sprouted on Sunday, January 29th!  It is my front bottom tooth.  It is small and sharp; it even poked a hole in one of my pacis! I keep rubbing my tongue and my finger against it to feel it.  I let my parents feel it, but I won't let anyone take a picture of it (and they have tried!) because I like to cover it with my lip or tongue.

Yesterday, I introduced my foot to my new tooth... take a look!
