My First Thanksgiving!

I celebrated my first Thanksgiving! I was a busy boy and it was a lot of fun. 

We started the day watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Then, we drove to Grandma Penny and Grandpa Mike's house. Everyone was happy to see me and they liked my Thanksgiving outfit!

I got to play with Aunt Jen since she was in town from Philadelphia!

I took a nap during dinner while all of the grown-ups ate a big feast!

After lunch, we hit the road and drove to Grandma Lynn's house. I figured I should rest up on the way since I had a very big day planned!

Once I got to Grandma Lynn's house, everyone wanted to hold me!

I got to ride in a swing while the grown-ups ate (another!) Thanksgiving feast.  After dinner, Grandma Lynn showed me all of the twinkling lights on her Christmas trees. They were so pretty! She also showed me some dancing and singing Santas; I was pretty mesmerised by those, too!

After dinner, everyone played games! I got to be on Aunt Lindsey's team in Apples to Apples!

Later, I got dressed up in the turkey costume that my Mommy made me.  It was warm, but I was extra cuddly!

As it got later, it was time for our sleepover!  Everyone was getting into their pajamas later in the night, but my bedtime was earlier than theirs, so I got my p.j.s on early.  Since we were going to watch Elf, I wore my Christmas pajamas and My First Christmas robe!

I had such a fun and busy day! 

I really liked Thanksgiving!

I am thankful to have so many people in my life that love me!

My Baptism!

I was baptized on November 20th, 2011.  It was a wonderful day!  My godparents are my Aunt Lindsey and Uncle Nick.  They, with the rest of my family, helped me celebrate my baptism all day long.  

First, I got dressed up in a white tuxedo. 

 It was fun to be dressed very fancy. 

My Mommy and Daddy were proud of me because I was a very good boy. 

 They love me very much!!

When we got to the church, I slept through most of the hour mass.  I woke up just in time to see all of my family that came to see me! 

The baptism ceremony was very beautiful.  Father Bline blessed me with oils and prayers.

Everything was going great, until I got hungry! 

So, in true Logan fashion, we finished the rest of the baptismal ceremony while I drank some milk!

I was baptized in nice warm water. 

My family joined me for a party after my baptism to celebrate.

Cereal!

I had my 4-month check-up at the doctor yesterday.  Everything went great!  I am healthy and I keep growing. 

Here are my new stats:

Weight: 15 lbs. 13 oz.

Height: 24.5 in.

I had to get two shots, but I was a strong boy this time!  I cried just a little bit and then smiled at Mommy and the nurse while Daddy held me.  It was a lot better than last time. 

The doctor told me that I am allowed to eat cereal now!  Soon, I'll be eating baby food fruits and veggies, too! 

I got to try baby rice cereal!  I wasn't too sure about the texture and why that spoon kept getting shoved in my mouth.

4 Months Old!

I'm 4 months old today!!

Boy, oh, boy! Time flies when you're having fun!

I will be 4 months old tomorrow! To prepare, Mommy built my high chair for me to start sitting up more often.

 I had to try it out! 

(We were worried that I would be too small, but we had to loosen the waist straps to fit over my 'healthy' belly!)

It was so fun to sit up and look around the kitchen. I have a feeling I'm going to be spending a lot of time in this chair... or, at least, I hope so!

Santa's Watching!

I've been hearing a lot about this Santa guy lately.  Apparently, he's a magical man who brings good little boys and girls presents.  I'm a good little boy, so I'm looking forward to his visit next month! 

 Grandma Lynn got this Santa for me since I am in awe every time I look at it. Santa can watch all he wants now, but I'll be watching him, too!

I may be small enough to fit in his bag of presents right now, but one day I might be as tall as him!

Goodnight, sleep tight!

Last night was the first time that I slept in my nursery! Who knew my crib was so comfortable!?  It was hard for my Mommy and Daddy to give me up from sleeping in my bassinet in their room, but they used the video monitor to keep a good eye on me all night long. 

Did I sleep through the night? Not a chance!

But, I'm making progress!

Now, I'm well rested and ready for my close-up!

My most recent discovery: my tongue!

It is so fun to stick it out and it makes my "ooohs" sound funny when I add my tongue to it.

I stick it out often; it's my new thing. :) 

Oh, Logan tree... Oh, Logan tree...

Guess what I did this weekend?

Here's a hint...

We put up our Christmas trees! I didn't know what to expect, but as soon as I saw the glowing lights, I didn't want to look away. I'm starting to learn some Christmas carols, too!

I even got to put a Logan-sized tree in my nursery! I only have one ornament right now (the personalized sock monkey that Grandma Lynn got me) but I'm sure I will get more throughout the Christmas season!

 

Wish come true...

Today, November 13th, is a special day for my little family.  Exactly one year ago, my parents found out that my Mommy was pregnant and they were going to have a baby!  Before then, I was just something that they wished for; one year ago, they realized their wish was coming true. 

I'm a little miracle!

Could anyone even imagine life without me?!

Snow!!

 I saw snow for the very first time today!!  When Mommy talked to Grandma Lynn this morning, she found out that it snowed at Grandma's house.  So, we got bundled up and headed 'over the river and through the woods' to see the snow.  I was in awe! It is so sparkly and white; it was everywhere!  How cool! I'm glad we made the trip to watch the big snowflakes fall from the sky... and to visit! :)

Get a Grip!

I've really been noticing my hands a lot lately.  When I'm not eating my fingers, I move my arms all around, grab onto my bib or my Daddy's shirt, swat at my dangling toys, and grab handfuls of my Mommy's hair.  I've been having fun experimenting with what my hands can do.  I think these hands are going to be pretty useful!    
When we were riding in the car, I was watching my favorite froggy toy, as usual. But, this time, I grabbed on to that yellow loop that caught my eye.  It started to wiggle and make a fun noise when I pulled it.  I couldn't believe it! (I always thought my parents were magical when they got the toy to wiggle; now, I realize I can do it on my own!) I was pretty much in shock that I was able to make this happen.  Daddy caught a little of it on tape!

Vroom Vroom!

My feet don't quite reach the pedals, but I got a chance to ride on my first kid-sized motorcycle!

Time change! What time change?

Supposedly, we were to gain an hour of sleep over the weekend.  No one told me! My family might have been the only ones who didn't take advantage of this! To me, it was just an extra hour that I spent not sleeping during the night.  Since I didn't sleep very much, I was extra tired on Sunday, so I went to bed at 5:30pm.  Well, early to bed means early to rise! Let's just say I have a very tired Mommy and Daddy because they don't get to take naps during the day like I do.  I hope that I get on a normal sleep schedule soon!

I Rolled Over!

I was playing on my activity mat this morning, when Mommy decided to turn me over onto my belly.  I was trying really, really hard to crawl! The mat was getting all scrunched up, and I was frustrated.  Then, suddenly, I started to roll over! It was an amazing ride! After it happened, I was kind of in shock. I couldn't believe it! I've been trying to do this for so long; I finally did it!  If you can't tell from the video, Mommy was very proud of me, too!

Crawling Mat

We went to Babies R Us today to get me a new mat to practice crawling on.  We got the one with the ABCs and 123s on it; Mommy says it's never too early to start learning!  We needed the mat because it helps me get a better grip when I am trying to crawl. 

We brought it to Grandma Lynn's house first, to try it out. Mommy and Uncle Nick put it together while I napped. Soon, I was ready to try it out!

I liked being on it.  It spells out my name! How cool is that!?

Uncle Nick was a little jealous that I got to have my picture taken next to my name, so he got a turn, too!

I think I'm getting the hang of this!



Musical Feet!

I kick my legs around all the time, so the new toy that my great-great-Aunt Dodo got me is perfect! When I kick, I play the piano!  While I'm kicking and making music, I get to look at a great view: myself! I love looking in the mirror at myself; I'm so amused by what I look like and the faces that I make.  I could do this for hours!

My First Baby Book

My Mommy made me a story book that tells all about my first three months of life.  She reads it to me at night. It is so fun to see how big I have gotten in just three months!
