Creepy Crawler?

During tummy time this morning, I tried really, really hard to crawl.  I pushed with my legs, as hard as I could, until I realized I moved a little bit!  I kept trying and actually moved a few inches! Considering I've never been able to move on my own before, this is a huge triumph! Once I start using my arms a little more and get more strength in my neck, I think I will be hard to catch.

Here is a video of me attempting to crawl. Notice where my head starts on the blanket at the beginning of the video, and where it is at the end. I did it! (well, kind of!)

Explosion!

Warning: The following blog post is pretty yucky!

I made an extra big poopy yesterday. It's the biggest one I have ever had. It went everywhere! I waited until Daddy was out of town so Mommy got this treat all to herself! It leaked through my diaper, through my clothes and everywhere that I touched once I grabbed a hand full of it.
It ended in an emergency bath and dozens of poopy-filled wipes.
 Ewwwww!

Four Generations

I got the chance to meet some more of my family!  I went to Grandma Penny and Grandpa Mike's house where there were a lot of people waiting to meet me!
Here is a picture of me with my Great-Nona Liz.  She is my Daddy's grandma.
I slept through a picture of the four generations in our family.  Here is the picture of me, Daddy, Grandma Penny and Great-Nona Liz.

My second cousin Justina got to hold me! She gave me a cute candy-corn rattle for Halloween!

I took a nap with Great-Uncle Pat. He slept longer than I did, though!

I had a fun time meeting more of my family!

Pumpkin Patch!

This weekend, I went to a pumpkin patch!  I went to Maize Valley Farms with Daddy, Mommy, Aunt Lindsey and Josh.  I had so much fun!
I loved looking at all of the diferent sized pumpkins!  They were so bright and pretty.  I was almost the same size as most of them!

I put my head inside of these holes to make me look like I was an animal.  I think my head was a little too small, but it was fun pretending to be a horse and a sheep.

We had to take a break for some milk!

Aunt Lindsey played with me and made me laugh a lot!

Here is a video of a conversation between Aunt Lindsey and me:

I took a little nap while the grown-ups had lunch.

We went into a huge corn maze!  I think we would have gotten out a lot sooner, but I wasn't the one steering the stroller.

We watched pumpkins being shot out of a cannon, cheered for piggies during a pig race, and saw all kinds of pretty pumpkins.  I picked out four "Logan sized" pumpkins and got to take them home.  It turned out to be a great time during a beautiful fall day.

Splish Splash!

Here is a little clip of my bath last night. I like to kick my legs in the warm water!

Smartest Little Guy

Mommy officially finished all of her course work for her Master's Degree! I am very proud of her, but I like to think that I helped her out in some way.  I was in her belly for nine months while she worked on her graduate classes and sat on her lap for two months, while she completed assignments, after I was born.  Not many babies can say that they took graduate level classes!  That must make me a pretty well educated eleven-week-old!
(Now I just need to see if they make a cap and gown in my size!)

Teething Time?

There might be more than just a smile going on with this mouth!
During the past few days, I have been showing most of the signs of a teething baby!  I am drooling all of the time and I am rarely found with my hand out of my mouth.  I put my hand in my mouth and chew on it to make myself feel better.  I am only eleven weeks old, so I don't expect to actually see any teeth soon, but the signs are definitely there.

When Mommy squeezes my cheeks, I open my mouth to give her a quick peek.  It's difficult to tell if anything is going on in there.

So, I will expect to spend a lot of time getting the drool wiped off of my chin and getting my hands washed so I can stick them in my mouth.

Baby's Best Friend?

There were a lot of things that I needed to get used to when I came home from the hospital.  I had no trouble getting used to my nursery, the swing or all of the cuddly blankets; but, it took me a while to figure out what that big, furry, four-legged creature was.  Now that I am eleven weeks old, I am used to having that wrinkly brown and black face looking at me!

Delilah, our two year old Boxer, has become my barking body guard.  Anytime she hears an outside noise, she checks it out and then runs over to me to make sure that I am okay.  She lays her chin on whatever I am in, looks to see that I am okay, and walks away.  She likes to lay close to me and checks on me whenever I make noise.
At this point, my parents do not let Delilah touch me.  But, in a few months, and throughout the next few years, I can imagine that we will get into a lot of mischief together!

Road Trip!

On Thursday, September 29th, I left the state of Ohio for the very first time!  Mommy, Daddy and I went for a road trip for the long weekend.  Daddy was a groomsman in his friend J.D.'s wedding; the wedding was in Maryland.  So, we packed up and headed for Baltimore.  Mommy kept telling me that I was going to leave the state, but when we finally left Ohio and entered Pennsylvania, I didn't notice anything exciting, so I kept sleeping.  It took us about six hours to get to Baltimore, and we only needed to stop once! I was so well behaved in the car!

This is a picture of me in front of the city of Baltimore.  This was the first time I got to ride in a glass elevator!

Daddy, Mommy and I walked through downtown Baltimore.  Here is a picture of me and Daddy by the water.

We had fun in the hotel room!  We brought my bassinette from home, so I had somewhere comfortable to sleep.  Here is a picture of me and Daddy looking at the big mirror in our hotel room.

We spent one night in Baltimore and drove to Alexandria, Virginia.  Since Aunt Jen and Dominick live in Philadelphia, they were only about two hours away from us.  They drove to visit with us.  We walked along the water and went out to lunch.  I got to hang out with them and show them how big and strong I have gotten since they last saw me.
This is a picture of me with Aunt Jen and Dominick by the water in Virginia.

Daddy, Mommy and me in Virginia.

It was a beautiful day, so we walked on the boardwalk!
Later that evening, we got ready to go to J.D. and Libbie's rehearsal dinner in Annapolis, Maryland.  My cheeks jiggled as I got pushed around through the pretty town on old brick sidewalks!
I wore 'big boy clothes' to the rehearsal dinner!
On Saturday, it was very cold and rainy!  Grandma Lynn and Ron met us in Virginia, so we went shopping at a really big mall!  That night, Grandma Lynn babysat me in the hotel room while Mommy and Daddy went to the wedding.  She loved having me all to herself!

On Sunday morning, we went to Washington D.C. to see The White House!  We walked through Washington D.C. and saw all kinds of cool things.  I slept through most of it, though!

Not many people can say they took a nap at The White House!

I had a very fun time on my first road trip!
Below is a video of me explaining all about my trip.
You'll have to translate from babble to English on your own!

Heads Up!

I am getting so strong!  When I was younger, I needed the grown-ups to support my head when they held me.  Now, I still need some help, but I've been working on holding my head up all by myself!  With a little more practice, I'll be able to hold my head up all the time.  (It's going to take some work, though, with these cheeks!) Here are a couple pictures of me balancing my head up.... without any help!

I'm like a life-sized bobble head!

Mommy is so proud that I am getting big and strong!

I'm growing up so quickly, that I even helped Mommy feed me yesterday.  I pushed her hand aside when she was bottle-feeding me and I held on to the bottle all by myself!  I could only hold it for a few moments because I couldn't lift it high enough for the milk to come out, but I'll keep working on it!

Some Pictures

I'm Mommy's little side-kick!

Sleeping through Aunt Lindsey's visit.

Mommy's friends Tiffany and Hillary can't believe how big I am getting!

Mommy always kisses my cheeks!

I love my Daddy!

Aunt Lindsey's Birthday

We all celebrated Aunt Lindsey's birthday at Grandma Lynn's house yesterday.  As soon as I got there, I got handed off from one set of arms to another. Everyone wanted to hold me!

I loved when everyone sang "Happy Birthday" to Aunt Lindsey because I got to help her blow out the candles (or, at least, I got a front row seat)! That cake looked so yummy; I can't wait until I can dig into all of that yummy frosting!

I had a lot of fun spending time with my family! :)
