Mommy went to the hospital on the evening of Monday, July 18 because she realized I was ready to meet the world. Daddy, Grandma Lynn, Aunt Lindsey and Great Aunt Kathy came that night to be with us. It was a long night full of contractions and pain medicine, but I wasn't ready to come yet; it was Mommy and Daddy's 2 year wedding anniversary and I wanted them to have a romantic getaway at the hospital. :)
The next day, we had lots visitors who were awaiting my arrival! Here is a picture of Grandpa Mike, Aunt Jen, Grandma Penny, Grandma Lynn, Aunt Lindsey and Grandpa Neal. They did a good job of acting calm as they waited for me to pop out!
Mommy was still having contractions but I was not making any progress, so the doctor suggested a C-Section. They told my parents that if we had the surgery, I would be out 2 minutes after it started! They couldn't wait any longer to meet me, so they agreed to the C-Section.
Daddy was the only one allowed in the operating room with Mommy and he had to wear a silly outfit.
I was born at 4:10 on July 19, 2011.
I weighed 8 pounds and 8 ounces.
(Daddy guessed my weight correctly after seeing me! All of the nurses were impressed!)
I was 20.5 inches long.
